Scissors
My work is usually meticulously planned and measured, producing several preparatory drawings and patterns. On this occasion however I have worked straight onto the canvas with freedom and a loose idea of design. The result feels playful; scissor samples pinned out with two pairs of handles, also forged scissor blanks, and an organic spiral of scissors unable to do their job of cutting.
