RITUALS at Bayfield Hall Sculpture Trail
My piece for Bayfield will focus on the RITUALS of caring for dogs, their companionship, daily walks and how dogs anchor us to our surroundings. Here at Bayfield, there is a long history of dog ownership with many marked graves around the chapel in remembrance. I would like to focus on the three pedestal (plinth) graves remembering Countess, Nimble (1904), and Desma. My idea is to use discarded plastic plant labels to assemble coats for the dogs, making a connection between daily dog walks and the great outdoors. @joynextthesea

Remembering Elizabeth Bacon
The tomb of Elizabeth Bacon and her new born twins is a monumental sculpture, recognised as a form of historic funerary art. This installation makes use of over 1000 discarded begonia plant labels arranged in a contemporary cloth of flowers. Begonias are a symbol of balance, harmony and spiritual growth. They offer protection against negative energies and the promotion of inner peace; a sensitive statement and reminder of the remembrance that was placed here for Elizabeth 340 years ago (1686-2026).
Exhibition dates: 2 July-2 August 2026, open daily 10am - 5pm. Curator: Chris Bailkoski

North Norfolk Open Studios
A heart felt thank you to everyone who visited during North Norfolk Open Studios 2026, it was an enjoyable meet and greet explaining and sharing processes and techniques. Lovely to see some familiar faces and also to meet many new ones intrigued by my art with 1000s of clothing labels. Special thanks to my two window hosts, Nomad and the Bowerbird and Crabpot Books. Thank you also to NNOS for organising and running the event for another year.
