556 Plant Labels on Vintage Embroidered Tablecloth
Notes and thoughts
Why a swan made out of plastic plant labels? Simply because they resemble feathers.
An experiment to explore 100s of used plant labels assembled in the image of a majestic swan, a subject for some reason that I keep returning to.
I am discovering that everything is interconnected and that in the plant world, flowers and leaves are the feathers, both are beautiful and delicate, both need care and water to grow. Plants are also a food source for foraging swans, and architecturally swans use plant vegetation to build their massive elevated nests… more interconnectedness.
